A Celebration of
Latin American &
Caribbean Culture

The Latin Dance Series at Rosa Parks Circle is a vibrant community celebration designed to bring people together through music, culture, and dance. Across four exciting dates this summer, attendees of all ages and experience levels are invited to enjoy an energetic atmosphere filled with dancing, entertainment, and connection.

Whether you are stepping onto the dance floor for the very first time or you are an experienced dancer, the series creates a welcoming environment where everyone can learn, move, and have fun together. Guests will enjoy live DJs, dance instruction, social dancing, and an unforgettable community experience in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids.

 

This year’s series includes four special events:

Saturday, July 18 | 11AM – 1:30PM

Friday, July 31 | 6PM – 8PM

Saturday, August 15 | 11AM – 1:30PM

Saturday, August 29 | 11AM – 9PM

The final event on August 29 will be our biggest celebration yet — a full-day cultural experience featuring food trucks, local vendors, artists, community organizations, and live entertainment. The highlight of the day will be an exciting attempt to break a Guinness World Record for the largest synchronized bachata dance.

 

Our mission is to celebrate Latin culture, create unforgettable experiences, support local businesses and artists, and build community through the universal language of dance.

Entertainment

The Latin Dance Series at Rosa Parks Circle will feature an exciting lineup of live entertainment designed to bring energy, culture, and community together in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids. Throughout the series, attendees will enjoy live music performances, talented DJs, and nonstop Latin rhythms including salsa, bachata, merengue, cumbia and more.

Food Vendors

The Latin Dance Series at Rosa Parks Circle will also feature a diverse culinary experience showcasing the rich flavors and traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a variety of food trucks and local food vendors offering authentic dishes from regions including Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and South America. From tacos, empanadas, and Caribbean specialties to Brazilian-inspired cuisine, tropical desserts, and refreshing beverages, the event will celebrate the vibrant food culture that brings communities together. The food experience is designed to complement the music, dancing, and cultural atmosphere while supporting local Latin-owned businesses and vendors. Guests are encouraged to come hungry, discover new flavors, and enjoy an unforgettable cultural experience filled with music, dance, and authentic Latin cuisine.
